A Cold Rainy Morning

Today would be the perfect day for us all to be at home and stay in our pajamas and watch movies all snuggled up on the sofa together. Unfortunately, Matt and Jack are still in school, so that is not possible. Instead, I let Jack and Caroline stay in their pajamas as long as possible and watch Curious George before we took Jack to school. It was cute to watch them cuddle on our bed, but of course as soon as I tried to snap a photo they started beating each other up. You have to love that true brother and sister relationship!

Any time there is the smallest chance of rain, Jack and Lina try to wear their rain boots. So of course since it was raining a little bit this morning out came the rain boots. For some reason when Jack realized that he would be wearing them to school he changed his mind. I tried to convince him that his friends would think his dinosaur boots were cool. He was not buying it, and we ended up compromising....he wore the boots to school and we packed his tennis shoes in his "pack pack". I will be interested to see which pair of shoes he has on when we pick him up in carpool this afternoon.

Time Flies

What happened to posting Halloween photos? I cant believe how fast time goes by! I am really hoping to get into the habit of posting stories and photos on a regular basis!

Tuesday was Caroline's last day of preschool before Christmas break. Her class had a Christmas party and I was lucky enough to be able to join her at the end of the day. I think she had a lot of fun. It was so heart warming to see her eyes light up when she saw me walk into the room. They had pizza and some cute frosted sugar cookies....which I saw her eat 3. Santa came to their school, and for those of you who know Lina will not be surprised to learn that she once again asked him for cookies, candy and lollipops! Unfortunately we did not stay very long because I am sick and certainly do not want to risk sharing it with anyone, especially right before Christmas!

Jack has 2 more days of school before he "tricks out" (tracks out) for 5 weeks. I dont know who is more excited about him being out of school, him or me! I already have quite the list of things that we will do while he is out of school. He is quick to remind Lina that she will still have to go to school while he is tracked out! That usually goes over well!

Here are some photos of Lina from her party. Needless to say she was not interested in posing for mommy, but I still think they are cute! Now if I could only get her to keep her bow in her hair!
